Engineered thermal insulation systems & heat shields

Metallically insulating Aerospace ducts and pipes - used for the thermal insulation of components with an operating temperature of up to 1200ºc - is an integral part of our capabilities. Below this temperature, soft insulating is a more cost effective alternative.

Metallic insulating involves covering a pipe, duct or any component that requires shielding due to environmental constraints, with a layer of insulating material. This is then held in place and made rigid with a texturised metallic covering.

Sheet metal fabrications (including 5 axis CNC laser cutting facilities)

Once the press shop has formed the components, they are dispatched to the sheet metal department for trimming and assembly. We currently produce several ducts requiring several stages of processing before finishing. One example is the Trent 500 titanium duct.

Engineering services

We currently employ five project engineers, all of whom have been trained to be versatile in the type of projects they undertake. Each of the team also specialise in either pressed or fabricated parts, insulation systems or airframe components.

Airframe components and assemblies

Thermal engineering manufacture hot joggled and CNC machined fuselage stringers and other airframe components.
